It Never Hurts To Ask!

The Word of God is clear on this point: We have not, because we ask not (James 4:2). Jesus emphasizes the fact, that if we ask, we will receive. Likewise, when we seek, we find. Finally, Jesus teaches that doors open in response to our knocking. While I believe this with all my heart, I am convinced that there is a contextual framework to be considered. God implies here and elsewhere, that no good thing will he withhold from us (Psalm 84:11; Matthew 7:11). However, if we want what we ask, seek and knock for, it requires that we not be judgmental, promote fairness, bear good fruit, and treat our fellowman the same way we wish to be treated. If we undergird our asking, seeking, and knocking with these principles, then we will truly receive, find, and enter through doors that no man can close! Be Blessed.
